The Trevor Morse Memorial Fund

2009

£20,000

The Trevor Morse Memorial Fund was set up in memory of Trevor Morse in the wake of the tragic events of Monday 9th March 2009.

Trevor died in an accident involving a gyrocopter at Long Marston airfield.  Very many people not only in Warwickshire but also across the countryside paid tribute to him by donating to the fund.  Some £20,000 was raised in all.

A significant part of this went to his partner Caroline.  Some of the balance has helped fund the planting of a 4 ½ acre memorial covert on land given by Mr and Mrs Mark Davies on their farm at Admington near Shipston on Stour.  This is in sight and walking distance of Trevor’s family home in the village.

Volunteers and friends gave their time to establish some 5000 trees, hedging and plants behind deer fencing.  It is a fitting memorial to Trevor.
